It doesn't matter what your friends say...
By Van Haulen | on Saturday, December 21, 2019
I lobbied my wife and kids for a van for years and they laughed at me every time. Recently, it was time to get a slightly used car again. 4 Runner or Sienna? This time they loved the van. Here's the deal: It's a Toyota which means only Honda owners know what similar quality is and that counts when friends see you driving a mini-van. It is so roomy inside that everyone feels relaxed (my wife doesn't even complain about my driving), unlike an SUV or sedan and will still haul an upright piano behind the third row passengers. It rides like a luxury car without the feeling of rollover, is really quiet and has very good visibility. The electronics and power rear vent windows controlled by the driver (emergency dog gas removal) are great. Phones stream to the TV via WiFi. Gas mileage is over 20 city, mainly because when you are floating along on your quiet little cloud of comfort called Sienna, you don't need to mash the gas pedal-you're too relaxed. Bob Ross would love this van. When needed, though, this engine has great power. The beautiful leather interior is really nice even though the 2020 Sienna is a little dated (it should be easier to change sources for audio for example). It's a toss up with the Honda but I see 300k miles down the road. BTW, my other cars are a Tacoma and an Infinity G37, so I have the 3 vehicles I want. Update: after first 1,000 mile family road trip, it's 3 thumbs up. Close to 27 highway at 70-80 mph with a 20 gallon tank really gives a nice cruising range.… - 5.0
Love the space inside! We haul anything we want.

This van replaced a mid-sized SUV and an F-150 Ford truck. We have found the Sienna able to handle every task that those two did. It has safety features that are very useful and have probably saved several fender benders. The interior is comfortable and very flexible. Would buy another one for sure!… - 5.0
Sweet car, drives so well.

Couldn't love this car any more really. We got the slightly higher model but without AWD. It was a bit of a splurge for us but we couldn't be any happier with the car. We love driving it. It's been great in the snow, even without AWD. It drives super smooth, sunroof is awesome, backup camera and alert system is amazing (it's so accurate that I feel 100% confident backing out, even with kids running around all the time). The only bad thing is that the power doors were recalled and Toyota service department hasn't been able to get the part in.…
